I am building the tool I always missed.
I grew up in Zug am Arlberg. To me, the most beautiful place in the world. And still: even in the most beautiful place in the world, a hotel has to solve problems every day. Some small and operational. Others strategic, with consequences for years to come.
I learned early that good hospitality consists of exactly that: making decisions every day, finding solutions, carrying on.

The moment Hospis came from
The idea did not come out of a workshop or a startup event. One of our team members suddenly dropped out — and we faced a problem for which we needed the right support, fast.
We did what you do in hospitality: thought it through, made calls, asked the network, googled. At some point I had this thought: this cannot be the best way.
The idea stayed. After a while I talked about it with my parents. In that conversation my father said a sentence that sums up the problem better than any pitch:
„Es gibt kein Instrument, wo du auf den Knopf drückst und sagst: Du kannst mir helfen.“
(“There is no instrument where you press a button and say: you can help me.”)
He was right. Whoever has a good network asks their network. Whoever knows someone picks up the phone. Whoever knows no one googles. And sometimes you simply guess.
Yet our industry does not lack knowledge. Quite the opposite. There are outstanding hoteliers, revenue managers, F&B experts, technicians, advisors and software providers who have already solved many of the problems a hotel faces today.
The problem is that problem and knowledge do not find each other systematically. That is exactly what Hospis changes.
Why me
I grew up in a hotel — and I have always loved it. Hospitality is not an industry I picked. It has been with me for as long as I can think.
I have seen how hotels work operationally, how decisions are made under time pressure and how small problems turn into big ones. I have seen openings, worked on operational and strategic topics and dug deep into hotel tech and the startups that want to change our industry.
Along the way I got to know both sides: the people who run a hotel every day — and the people who build solutions for these hotels. Now I am bringing these worlds together. Not because our industry needs another platform. But because it needs a better instrument to solve problems.
What Hospis is
Hospis is a problem-first platform for hospitality. We do not start with “which software do you need?” and not with “which advisor are you looking for?”. We start with: what is your problem?
Problem → Diagnosis → Causes → Path out → People, software or execution
Most problems a hotel faces today have already been solved somewhere. Hotels should not have to solve them alone every single time.
Why “Hospis”
A Hospi is a hospitality expert. Someone who does not just hold an opinion about a problem, but has experience with it. People from the industry, specialists and operational experts who know what works — and what does not.
Hospis makes this knowledge findable. Not at some point. Exactly when a hotel needs it.
Disclosure
Hospis comes out of the hospitality industry. I am part of a hotelier family and work in and with the industry myself. That closeness is a key reason why Hospis exists — but it also means transparency matters.
Recommendations on Hospis do not depend on who pays the most, but on which solution fits a problem. Where Hospis has an economic stake in a referral, a project or a software recommendation, this is clearly visible.
Trust only works when interests are visible. And without trust, Hospis does not work.
